Douro International Natural Park  :  Protected Nature Area

The Associação Transumância e Natureza (ATN) was created with the aim of managing and safeguarding the natural heritage and the biodiversity of the extended area of Faia Brava Reserve, located inside the Côa Valley.

This lands has approximately 800 hectare.

This includes the municipalities of Figueira Castelo Rodrigo (Algodres e Vale de Afonsinho) e Pinhel (Cidadelhe).
These natural habitats are important to maintain and protect some animal’s species (eagles, vultures, and dark stork).
